The Iranian Biotechnology Society was officially established and registered on January 11, 1998 (corresponding to 1376/10/21 in the Persian calendar), with the approval of the Scientific Associations Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. The association was founded by leveraging the intellectual and scientific capacities of Iran’s biotechnology experts to develop and expand this vital modern technology.
The founders of the association are as follows:
Dr. Ali Akbar Mohammadi, Dr. Seyed Abbas Shojaei-Sadat, Dr. Sirus Zainali, Dr. Mojtaba Tabatabaei, Dr. Nosratollah Zargham, Dr. Zinolabedin Tahmasbi, Dr. Manouchehr Vosoughi, Dr. Bagher Yakhchali, Dr. Javad Tavakolian, Dr. Eslam Majidi, Dr. Fereydoun Mahboudi, Dr. Seyed Mehdi Hosseini Mozinani, Dr. Abbas Saeedi, and Dr. Ali Karami.
